McRay Crane and Rigging was recently employed to set bridge beams at Interstate 45 and NASA Rd. 1. The beams measured 109' in length an eached weighed 78 tons. To complete the lift, McRay utilized two cranes--a 250 ton and a 200 ton. The video to the right shows just how delicate this task was. Above is time-lapsed photography from the jobsite. The first 2 beams were lifted from the shoulder of the freeway. The others were lifted from the service road and maneuvered between the cranes.
